FAQ

What is the best time for Leh Ladakh Trip with Tsomoriri

Ladakh is best explored during the warm summer months, which run from May through September. During this time, the landscape is at its most stunning, and the roads are less likely to be open.

If, on the other hand, you are interested in winter activities or want to visit the world-famous frozen lakes, you can travel there during the winter, which runs from December to February.

Is there a special permit needed to visit Tsomoriri Lake?

Yes, as of my most recent update in September 2021, a special permit is necessary to enter Tsomoriri Lake. Indian tourists also require an Inner Line Permit (ILP) to visit Tsomoriri Lake because it is situated in a restricted area of Ladakh. Foreign tourists need to obtain a Protected Area Permit (PAP) to visit Tsomoriri Lake.

Please be aware, nevertheless, that guidelines and procedures for getting a permit can alter over time. Before organizing your trip to Tsomoriri Lake, make sure you have the most recent information on permits and travel restrictions by contacting us or local authorities.

Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok is closed throughout my travels. What can I anticipate?

Landslides and floods brought on by the melting snow and rain can damage or close the route from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok. The best option is to return to Leh and visit Tsomoriri Lake the following day as per the schedule.

We will make every effort to find suitable accommodation in Leh and seek reimbursement for the Pangong Lake accommodation (after the hotelier’s decision is final). However, the traveler will be required to pay extra expenses for the travel.

What Mobile Network work in Ladakh?

Only postpaid networks of Jio, BSNL, and Airtel work in Ladakh. However, most hotels provide Wifi so you can still stay connected.

Are childrens allowed in this Leh Ladakh Trip with Tsomoriri lake?

This excursion IS NOT APPROVED FOR CHILDREN UNDER FIVE. Because of the high altitude in Ladakh, we advise against taking young children. Only kids older than five who are accompanied by their parents are allowed to go on the trip.
